As a father and avid cyclist this is an event which combines the best of both worlds. What a way to help a great organization, Kids in Distress and get to ride with some fo the best riders int he US. It is the Kid Inlet Challenge.
It costs $200,000 a year to just feed the thousands of children Kids In Distress helps each year. But KID does so much more – emergency shelters, foster care, family counseling clinic, therapeutic preschool classes, abuse prevention services, and now dental and optical services. It takes a village to raise a child, and we need you to be apart of the KID Family and help a child along their journey.
The much beloved KID Inlet Challenge cycling event is back! Join us at South Beach Park in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday, December 5th, for South Florida’s favorite cycling event.
Choose from 4 Routes: Century (100 miles – turnaround is at the Palm Beach Inlet) Metric Century (100 kilometers/62.5 miles – turnaround is at the Boynton Beach Inlet) Half–Metric Century (50 kilometers/31 miles – turnaround is at the Boca Raton Inlet) Beach Cruiser (15 miles—turnaround is at 1st Rest Stop)
The route has an amazing scenic route along AIA. You will be cheered on by friendly volunteers, have fun, and make friends while having a direct impact on the lives ofthousands of children and families that need your help.
