After lunch we had some down time and then in the afternoon we had a session on running drills and we went over the ideal run position and then had a great tough drill workout with some plyo jumps thrown in for good measure. After the session we showered up and relaxed beofre meeting the members for dinner at Calico Jacks, the restuarant on island. Marvel the bartender fixed me up with a virgin Pina Colada with fresh fruit. I know it is a bit foo foo drink but they taste so good. It is important say again that the weather here is perfect. Warm but not hot and coll at night without being uncomfortable. now to the restaurant. Chef Tadd and his staff outdid themselves with a four course Valentine’s Day dinner. We began with a light watermelon, feta cheese and aged balsamic vinegar salad. The portions are perfect for a single individual and not like the typical American portions. The main course was perfectly cooked filet which was as tender as you want it to be. Great flavor and perfect size. The filet came with a out of this world truffle oil gnocci and fresh vegetables. I love gnocci and the flavor in this dish was once again superg and not overwhelming. But dessert was a great finale. The dish included almond mile and coconot ice cream with a dark chocolate terrine. Once again the portions were very light and left us feeling satisfied but not over stuffed. After dinner the conversation was brilliant and the poeple on the island are so easy to get on with. Lights out after din and ready for tomorrows race.
